InGame Messages (IGMs)

By clicking the right button (yellow if you have new messages) you will be forwarded to your inbox from where you can access all your messages, write new ones or archive them (if you have a Plus account).
InGame messages (IGMs) are the message-system offered by Travian with which you can talk to other players. Just enter the nickname of another player as recipient, a topic and the content of the message (mind the game rules!). Afterwards just click "send" and the message will be sent to the other player. If you have the right to do so you can even send messages to your whole alliance by simply entering [ally] as the recipient (not [your-alliance-tag]) as recipient.
If you use a Plus account you are able to sort your messages to the date.

BBCode in IGMs

You may have noticed the various options on the top of the messages you want to write:

These buttons enable you to use bbcode (this means to write for example bold, italic or underlined) in your IGMs (= ingame messages).

Let’s start with the explanation of the last three buttons:

If you click on the little lumber button it will expand and you will get the option to choose one of the four icons lumber / clay / crop / iron to add to your message.

If you click on the little Viking button it will expand and you will get the option to add one of the various smilies to your message.

If you click on the little sword button it will expand and you will get the option to choose one of appearing troop icons to add the respective picture to your message.

Besides adding pictures to the messages you write you also have the option to write letters in bold (to do this just click on the “B” button), in italic (to do this just click on the “i” button) or underlined (to do this just click on the “U” button).

Additionally you can add a link to an alliance profile (to do this just click on the button with the three tokens), to a player profile (to do this just click on the button with the one token), to coordinates (to do this just click on the button with the little map) or to a battle report (to do this just click on the button with report).

If you use the buttons your message will look like this:

If you now click on the button on the right side (marked by a red arrow in the picture above) you will get a preview of the message you wrote:

A nice, but a little hidden plus account feature is the sorting of reports or IGMs according to the date. All of you know the normal view in which the newest report or IGM is visible at the top of the reports or IGMs:

But sometimes it may be helpful to see the oldest report or IGM first. This is no problem if you click on the word “Sent”. If you do this the reports or IGMs get sorted the other way around and you will see the oldest report or IGM at the top:

Reports

Reports are information-messages sent by Travian in order to inform you about events on your account, e.g. if you have been attacked by someone or if someone sent you reinforcements. The symbol is green and the message symbol is right next to it on the same circle.

A complete battle-report will only be sent to you if you were either the defender or killed at least 25% of the enemy troops in your attack. Reinforcement reports only show you the number of your own slain troops.

If you use a Plus account you are able to sort your reports to the date.

Report Icons

You may have noticed the various report icons in front of your reports. They were implemented to make it easier to differentiate between the reports. But what do they mean? And how can you use them?

Reports are divided into four groups:

• Trades
• Reinforcement
• Attacks
• Miscellaneous

Therefore also the report icons can be divided into four groups.

Trades
Merchants delivered mostly lumber
Merchants delivered mostly clay
Merchants delivered mostly iron
Merchants delivered mostly crop

Reinforcement
Reinforcement arrived

Attacks
Won as attacker without loses
Won as attacker with loses
Lost as attacker (none of your troops returned)
Won as defender without loses
Won as defender with loses
Lost as defender (none of your troops survived)
Lost as defender without loses (this means you had not defending troops)

Miscellaneous
Miscellaneous (e.g. natar attacks)
Won scouting as attacker
Lost scouting as attacker
Won scouting as defender

If you are unsure about the meaning of the icon you can also go with the mouse over it and you will see what it means:

These icons help you to get an overview about the reports in your own report inbox.

But they also help you to sort your alliance attacks. To use this feature you just need to click on one of the icons on the picture above and will only see the reports of this type (for an example have a look at the picture on the next page). This will furthermore enable you to see also older reports again.

Sharing of Battle Reports With ALL Players From the Same Server

You are enabled to share your battle reports also with every player on the server.

Therefore the battle report links will look like the following: s6.travian.com/berichte.php?id=1168740|6063be47

The "code" after the | you get only for own reports (this means that it will not be visible in the alliance attack overview). Now you can decide whether you want to give someone the link to the complete report or not.

If you send away the reduced link (s6.travian.com/berichte.php?id=1168740) then only alliance members and sitters are able to read the report.

But if you send away the complete link (s6.travian.com/berichte.php?id=1168740|6063be47) then everyone from the server you like is able to read the report.
